Check out what’s happening this weekend in Downtown Indy!

Festival of Trees
Indiana Historical Society
Friday & Saturday, Jan. 2 & 3: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
$7; $6.50 seniors; $5 kids; FREE under 5

Celebrate the holidays at the History Center’s first Festival of Trees. Not only will you step back in time, but you’ll step into a gorgeous tree-filled winter wonderland featuring 25 themed holiday trees.


Christmas at the Lilly House
Indianapolis Museum of Art
Friday – Sunday, Jan. 2  – 4: 11 a.m. (noon Sunday) –  5 p.m.
FREE

Lilly House will be styled in decorations that were popular in the 1930s and 40s. Décor in the house will include both familiar favorites, as well as unusual elements.


Jolly Days Winter Wonderland
The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis
Friday – Sunday, Jan 2 – 4: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
$19.50; $14.50 kids; $18.50 seniors

Enjoy favorites such as the Yule Slide, Jingles the Jolly Bear and visits with Santa. Explore “outdoor” fun at the Snow Castle and Ice Fishing holes.


Christmas at the Zoo
Indianapolis Zoo
Friday – Sunday, Jan 2 – 4: 5 – 9 p.m.
Zoo admission

Enjoy the warm glow of twinkling lights, creating a magical nighttime experience. Several of the Zoo’s hardiest will stay up late to enjoy the cooler nights, including seals and sea lions, polar bear, walrus, tigers, red panda, brown bears and more!


Jingle Rails: The Great Western Adventure
Eiteljorg Museum
Friday – Sunday, Jan 2 – 4: 10 a.m. (noon Sunday) – 5 p.m.
$12; $10 seniors; $6 kids; FREE under 4

Enter a locomotive wonderland – a network of trestles, bridges and tunnels with chugging trains and detailed replicas of national treasures, all made of natural materials like twigs, moss and nuts and wrapped up in holiday trimming.
