Bring mom Downtown for Mother’s Day Sunday, May 8. Visit one of Downtown’s many restaurants for brunch or bring mom to one of our best attractions.

Things To Do

Baseball at Victory Field
May 8, 1:35 p.m.
Moms need only to sit back, relax and enjoy an afternoon of special promotions, activities and baseball. Massages, manicures, Gigi’s cupcakes and an Indianapolis Indians game will await families at Victory Field. Highlighting the day is a special post-game opportunity for families to come onto the field to play catch. The Box Seat package is $50 with the Reserved Seat package $42 and includes two tickets, a baseball and access to the field after the game. As part of Kids Eat Free Sunday, children 14 and under will receive a voucher good for a hot dog, bag of chips and bottle of water with price of admission.

Gondola ride on the Canal
May 8, various times
Old World Gondoliers is kicking off their spring season, just in time for Mother’s Day. Let mom be serenaded in Italian by a singing gondolier as she is transported to Venice on the Canal. Book a 30-minute public boat ride at 1, 3, 5 or 7 p.m. for $25 per person plus tip. Private gondolas for up to eight passengers are also available for $150 plus tip. Reservations are suggested as the rides often sell out on holidays.

Let mom sit back and relax and enjoy a gondola ride on the Canal.

Gift It

Visit from Blue
May 2 – 6, various times
The Indianapolis Colts mascot, Blue, is offering fans a unique gift. Blue will make a surprise visit to moms in their home, school or office and deliver a $25 Colts Grille gift card, confetti, flowers, chocolates and a Mother’s Day card. Blue’s Mother’s Day Visits are available May 2 – 6 and cost $150.

More exciting than a flower delivery... let Blue make the delivery himself! Here is Fox59 reporter Lindy Thackston receiving a Blue's Mother's Day delivery.

Stop by some of Downtown’s gift shops for a unique gift. Silver in the City on Mass Ave offers unique jewelry from local artists and Indiana t-shirts that we can’t resist. Also on Mass Ave, Arts A Poppin sells unique gifts – everything from picture frames to local art to purses and bags. Head east on Mass Ave and treat mom to handmade truffles from Best Chocolate in Town. The shop has more than 40 flavors ranging from raspberry to exotic cardamom. For the race fan, Windsor Jewelry is selling officially licensed jewelry of the Indy 500, including sterling and stainless steel bangle bracelets.
