Hey kids – color for a chance to flip the switch during Circle of Lights

Hey kids – color for a chance to flip the switch during Circle of Lights.

My daughters ask me every year why they can never win the Carson’s Coloring Contest for Circle of Lights  to meet Santa and flip the switch to light Monument Circle. It’s tough luck being the kid of a Downtown Indy, Inc. employee. But in all seriousness, we know that this is a big deal. Children age 3 – 12 vie for the chance to be on stage the day after Thanksgiving to literally light up Downtown and start the holiday season.

And just because my kids can’t win doesn’t mean yours can’t.  They can! Start coloring. Grab those markers, glitter, jewels… (We’ve seen it all). Think outside the bulb, so to speak. Our winners are creative and have turned the Coloring Sheet into an elf, Downtown skyline, angel, Santa, snowman, Monument Circle, artistic design and more.

The incentive is that five finalists will be chosen and each will receive a $529 CollegeChoice 529 Direct Savings Plan AND $100 Carson’s gift card. From the finalists, one will also be awarded the grand prize of appearing at the Circle of Lights to flip the switch Nov. 25, plus an extra $1,000 towards the scholarship. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Sheets need to be turned in by noon, Monday, Nov. 14.

Find info about drop-off locations, how to download a sheet and more here. Good luck!
