Downtown Indy, Inc.’s New Year’s Eve Celebration presented by The Indiana Union Construction Industry

Headliner Jump Smokers will bring their dance club anthems to Downtown for Downtown Indy, Inc.’s New Year’s Eve Celebration presented by the Indiana Union Construction Industry. At 11:59 p.m., when in most cities the traditional ball drop takes place, a suspended IndyCar hoisted high above the crowd will descend to a collective countdown amidst fanfare and fireworks at midnight. Warm up inside the Hoosier Lottery Countdown Pavilion inside Bankers Life Fieldhouse, plus enjoy full bars and food trucks all night. Entertainment throughout the night includes:

Make an entire Downtown outing on New Year’s Eve! Attend the IU vs. Louisville game at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Dec. 31 at 12:30 p.m. then head right over to Downtown Indy’s New Year’s Eve Celebration on Georgia Street! Join the #IndyNYE: Crawl till the Car Falls bar crawl kicking off at 2 p.m. Registration starts at Tiki Bob’s. Tickets are $25 and include three drinks and a glass of champagne.

Celebrate with the most unique comedy show around during New Year’s Eve with ComedySportz! There are two celebrations – the first from 7:30 – 9 p.m. and the second from 10:30 p.m. – midnight (ends with a countdown to midnight) – and two live improve matches where ComedySportz players battle each other for a prize.

At The Children’s Museum annual New Year’s bash, Countdoon to Noon, families can experience the excitement of a countdown to the New Year at a reasonable hour. Head to the Museum between 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and celebrate the final day of 2016 with activities, live music from Grammy-nominated songwriter and singer Zak Morgan and Water Clock countdowns at noon and 1 p.m. Receive hats and other festive favors for the big moment.
